As you can see from the following charts, music consumption also depends on the age of the consumer. As the audience get older the customer is more likely to pay for their music in the form of CD's or Itunes. Among 18-24's free music sources are spread and You Tube and free streaming now account for nearly one-fifth of listening. Among 40+ CD's still represent almost half of the way music is consumed.
